Everyone likes “free” and if you can also get a chance to donate to a worthy cause then it’s even better.
LionsGate UK are offering free screenings of some of their biggest hits via YouTube with their “Lionsgate Live! A Night at the Movies”.
How does it work?
At 6pm Irish time on Saturdays they’ll be streaming the films from their Youtube account.
The lineup is as follows:
- May 16th Bend it Like Beckham
- May 23rd The Hunger Games
The free screenings are being put on as part of LionsGate’s initiative to help a couple of charities: NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal and The Film and TV Charity COVID-19 Emergency Response.
And it’s not just a free screening:
Each film shown as part of Lionsgate Live! A Night at the Movies will be presented by a unique celebrity host, including Edith Bowman, Keith Lemon, Jack Whitehall and Jonathan Ross. Every Saturday the event will feature special programming and interactive opportunities for fans, such as surprise guest appearances, real-time fan chats via YouTube Live, live tweeting @LionsgateUK and partners, costume contests, giveaways, and more.
